  • This place has the best Hainanese chicken rice I’ve ever had — the chicken is silky, tender, and perfectly bouncy, and the sauce has just the right balance of flavor. Honestly, it’s even better than what I had in Singapore! Definitely the best chicken rice in Adelaide.

  • Had the chicken rice and it was delicious! Reminded me of a family cooked meal, hugs the soul and blows your mind. The chicken is smooth and silky and the rice is so fragrant it is delicious on its own. This is my 3rd time having the chicken rice and although I want to try the other dishes I keep coming back to the chicken rice.

  • I have seen this cafe busy forever on a Saturday morning but had always been too busy myself to go. Today, I had a little free time so thought I would give it a try. It is a Malay Chinese style Chicken Rice place. I ordered the combo fried rice and mug of green tea as an tester of what the food is like. The fried rice was a generous serve with prawns, chicken, diced carrot and a few other vegies. It did have some pieces of maybe Kale I wasn't sure which added a different texture and flavour. Overall, it was a solid but not spectacular fish. The chicken was the best part which was extremely tender. I think I will go back to try the Hainese Chicken Rice at some stage. I went early so it wasn't crowded but every time I have driven past at 12pm on a Saturday it was been full. There is a website where you can book via email.

  • Bam! Big, strong heat and flavours in this satisfying Laksa. So nice to get an authentic experience. This is Laksa without the sweetness you get in some, and a decent chilli kick. Generous amounts of hokkien and rice noodles along with tender steamed chicken, prawn and fish cake. Enjoyed it very much.

  • A new friend who lives in Adelaide for a few years told me that this is probably the best Hainanese Chicken Rice. Recently I came here a couple of times but no luck, until yesterday I pass-by and saw it was opened. I tried their Hainanese Chicken Rice. The price was probably the most expensive in Adelaide. They mentioned on the board that they used Free Range Chicken, so they are more expensive for a good reason. The portion of the Hainanese Chicken Rice was quite generous. One standard bowl of chicken oil ginger rice, one small bowl of chicken soup which were quite standard, however the meat portion was more generous than most other restaurants selling Hainanese Chicken Rice in Adelaide. In fact, there were two layers of chicken meat so you probably could not see the bottom layer of chicken meat from my photo. The chicken meat (thigh) was very delicious, it was so tender and smooth The cooking temperature and duration of the Hainanese chicken must be the secret that they could make such smooth chicken meat My friend warned me that their steamed rice are usually too wet, it was exactly the case during my visit so perhaps this is the way they cook their steamed rice and it would never change. They called themselves coffee shop but I couldn't see any coffee grinder nor a price list of coffee. Not too sure if they are selling coffee or not. My next visit will definitely try their Chicken Laksa and Curry Chicken Rice as they must be very good too

  • I have been getting take away on a regular basis, every dish has been consistently on point, fresh and flavoursome with healthy amounts of protein. The chilli is not for the faint hearted, and whilst the pictured rice looks like plain rice its packed full of flavour. Filling yummy and consistent, great value. Recommend highly! And looking forward to next time

  • Just like the Google reviews say, the Hainanese chicken rice is really delicious. The curry in the curry chicken is very fragrant. It's very authentic. Highly recommended.
